It's feeling hot, hot, hot in Raleigh, which means it's time to re-introduce maxi dresses into your weekend wear. We love our white denim, but ladies, let's be honest: Is there anything worse than having to squeeze into tight jeans when the humidity is OOC?! Actually, yes ... tight leather pants a la Ross Geller. Easy, breezy. That's our fashion motto for the next few months.
To us, maxi dresses are effortlessly chic and incredibly versatile. You can wear with a cardigan or denim jacket for your 9-5 (or those cooler summer nights). Dress them up, dress them down with different accessories. You can belt them to define your waste and create a more polished silhouette. Throw on sandals, wedges, flip flops, or sneakers to also change up your look ... extra mileage when you're packing for a trip or justifying that investment piece you've been eyeing. Like Burger King, you can have it your way when it comes to styling up summer's favorite dress.
We rounded up some great dresses that we're coveting. One of the best things about shopping for maxis is that you can find them at any store -- from Target and J.Crew to Bloomingdales and local boutiques -- at a variety of price points. How amazing is this dress under $100 find?! And this one from Zara. So here's to staying (and looking) cool all summer long!
