Saturday night style

We kicked off Mother's Day with family dinner at Gravy, a cozy spot serving updated red-sauce Italian-American fare with local ingredients. If you live in Raleigh and haven't been, this is a spot you must try. When the weather is nice, we definitely recommend sitting outside in their brick courtyard. Unfortunately for us, the sunny-during-the-work-week and rainy-during-the-weekend trend continues ... making it tricky to dress for a night out!

Balmy with a slight breeze meant something that would keep me warm in the restaurant (hello, A/C!) but not too warm for walking around downtown. I opted for my new white jeans from Mother -- and I couldn't be more obsessed. The ultra-high rise is perfect for long-torsos, cropped(ish) tops and waist-defining belts. This ankle-length pair has a slight stretch, a frayed hem (one of spring's biggest trends) and a straight-cut style with a little flare, making them SUPER flattering. Fun fact: Mother Denim is a favorite of Meghan Markle. So obviously, it's a favorite of ours, too!

I paired my jeans with an embroidered blouse I recently scooped up at T.J.Maxx. It was under $60, and I love how it can be worn as an off the shoulder or a scoop neck top. To kick things up a notch, I layered two chunky Julie Vos bangles and added statement earrings from Sachin & Babi. When the temperature heats up, I'm all about turquoise jewelry. It complements every skin tone, while elevating your outfit -- summery and bohemian, yes please! You already know our love for straw bags, and this one was a steal from local boutique Monkee's of Raleigh. While the exact bag isn't available online, this one from Hat Attack is pretty darn close! The fan-style is feminine and flirty for both day and night.

xo,

Natalie & Ashley
