Hope everyone had a great weekend -- ours was busy and filled with March Madness, drinks at a local brewery, a show at the NC Museum of Art and a fundraiser to support the Alzheimer's Association. Phew! The fundraiser was cocktail attire, and it was down to the wire with outfit planning. Procrastination at its finest! With the transitional weather, I wanted to wear something light and airy. But I also needed a dress that would layer well with a jacket. Enter one of our favorite brands: Equipment. If you haven't tried this line, you're missing out. Their blouses are flattering and versatile -- and the same is true for their dresses. We're currently on a midi-dress kick, and Equipment does not disappoint with this style. I pulled this silk dress out of my closet, which is no longer available, but we've rounded up similar styles below. There's a certain 90's look to Equipment pieces (especially the strappy style that can be worn over a basic white tee), and we LOVE it. Their designs are timeless and structured. You could rock these dresses with heeled mules, sneakers, strappy sandals, ankle booties -- the options are truly endless! I paired mine with our favorite Vince leather jacket (similar here), Rayne heels (similar here), Sachin and Babi statement earrings, and Rebecca Minkoff bag (similar here).
A little shopping tip: While you can scoop up Equipment at favorites like Shopbop, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales ... T.J. Maxx and The Outnet are usually stocked. And several of these dresses are currently available at The Outnet. #TheLookForLess -- now that's what we're talking about!
